Dr Prasad U. Kasbekar is a well known Cancer Surgeon based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. After passing his Masters in Surgery (M.S.) from the famous B.J. Medical College and Sassoon Hospital in Pune; Dr Kasbekar did his Masters in Chirurgie (M.Ch.) from the Gujarat University in the Gujarat Cancer And Research Institute (G.C.R.I) located in Ahmedabad. After completion of his Super Specialization, Dr Kasbekar travelled to Seoul, South Korea where he underwent training in advanced cancer surgery at the World Famous Yonsei University and Severance Hospital.

Dr Kasbekar has also been accredited by the European Board of Surgery in the field of Surgical Oncology. The Fellowship of the European Board of Surgeons (F.E.B.S.) acquired by Dr Kasbekar is a testament that his knowledge and expertise is on par with the standards set for doctors in the European Union. This qualification also makes him eligible to practice in the countries of Europe should he desire. Having a keen desire for research, Dr Kasbekar has presented multiple topics in various conferences in India and around the world. He has even been invited to countries such as South Korea, Thailand and Hungary to present his work.

In order to keep abreast with the latest advances in Cancer treatment, Dr Kasbekar is an active member of the European Society of Surgical Oncology (E.S.S.O.) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (A.S.C.O) where he participates in discussions with the top Cancer Specialists in the World. Currently Dr Kasbekar also works as the Consultant Cancer Surgeon for the Indian Railways in their hospital in Mumbai, where cancer cases all over India are referred to him for his expert opinion. He has also provided his expertise to the Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals and the King Edward Memorial Hospital in the past as well as done a short stint in the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.

With a total experience of 9 years, Dr Kasbekar now practises mainly in South Mumbai, Dadar and Chembur being a Consultant in reputed hospitals such as Bhatia Hospital in Tardeo, Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Walkeshwar, Shushrusha Citizens Co-operative Hospital in Dadar, K.J. Somaiya Hospital and Research Centre in Chembur and the H.C.G. and I.C.S. Khubchandani Cancer Hospital located in Colaba, Mumbai.
